Every parent loves to buy toys. But in this economy, you want to get the most for your dollar and your children want toys that they won't lose interest in. How do you both win? Look for toys that are fun, affordable and portable. These toys make the leap from played with a few times, to a constant companion.First and foremost, a toy has to be fun. A truly fun toy engages the imagination. Littlest Pet Shop offers a variety of adorable animals, both domestic, such as the cutest dogs, colorful cats and huggable bunnies, to exotic animals such as baby seals and pink giraffes. While they are fun to play with on their own, they also offer simple to elaborate playsets for your animals. Does your Yorki need some exercise? How about a trip to the Tail Waggin' Fitness Club? Is your Panda's coat looking a little dull? Schedule an appointment at the Squeaky Clean Pet Shop. There is a playset for all your animal friends. Another favorite are Hot Wheels and Match Box cars. Again, you can start with a single sportscar, a truck and trailer, maybe a dump truck and later move up to a carwash, a racetrack, garages and much more.In this economy, affordability is a must. You can start your animal collection for well under ten dollars, the cars generally are even much cheaper, some not over a dollar. Both make great stocking stuffers at Christmas. Later you can add accessories, individual animals or cars, video games, carrying cases, board games, books and much more. Or splurge and buy a complete set. It's your choice.What do I, as a parent really love about these toys? The portability. When my children were very small, I always carried small toys for them in my backpack. They were great to pull out in restaurants, doctor's offices, and any place I needed to keep my kids entertained. If you look in my backpack today, you'll still find a few of these, maybe a Chihuahua with a funky hat, a Zebra with Elvis hair, or a red Porsche, but you'll also find them in my daughter's backpack, my son's pockets and generally a few stuffed in our automobiles. They make great travelling companions, in cars or on planes, and I can honestly say, my children's toys have travelled the world with us.So for the perfect gift, give a toy with longevity. Give your children a toy they'll love to play with, collect, and take with them wherever they go. Give yourself a gift that it won't break your budget. Plus, the cars and the animals are equally loved by girls and boys. How often does that happen? These toys have been a great addition to our family and I know they'll be a great addition to yours. |
