Puerto Vallarta Real Estate started the New Year with auspicious news. Puerto Vallarta has a new Mayor at the helm. Salvador Gonzalez Resendiz is the new mayor of Puerto Vallarta since January 1st, 2010, after his swearing ceremony, which was held on December 31, 2009 at the Malecon. Puerto Vallarta Real Estate industry has high hope s from the dynamic Mayor. The real estate market which is now recovering from the all the bad press and world recession in 2009 has pinned hopes on an effective leadership at the top which will restore investor confidence in Puerto Vallarta Estate.
Puerto Vallarta Real Estate has been one of the most popular travel destination for international travelers owing to its unique combination of old world charm, culture, arts blending seamlessly with contemporary lifestyle like luxury Puerto Vallarta Condo Homes, Resorts, beaches and water parks. Puerto Vallarta real estate investors have shown great confidence and their faith has been justified by steady appreciation of prices of Puerto Vallarta properties even during economic downturn. Major real estate developers from around the world have started their ambitious projects in Puerto Vallarta which offer both world class design and the best amenities and services found anywhere in the world.
The new mayor of Puerto Vallarta has committed to consolidating proven results for citizens as soon as possible. Mr. Resendiz's sincerity to his job and city can be gauged from the fact that he has even begun preliminary meetings with his team. He stated firmly that "Whoever does not work with efficiency, discipline, honesty and dedication will have to leave the office." This will certainly bring cheers to the citizens of Puerto Vallarta. Puerto Vallarta 's Mayor-Elect Salvador González Reséndiz is just 28 years old. He was born in Puerto Vallarta on March 26, 1981. He has been fortunate enough to be born in a family which has seen three generations if politicans. Surely, the collective wisdom and experience will come handy to the New Mayor in making Puerto Vallarta the best City in Mexico. One will be surprised to know that even with such pedigree he never considered his career in politics until he was assigned as director of social development in the current administration. The role saw him devote himself to helping the less fortunate.
A Graduate of international trade is passionate about his work and that passion drove his rising political career leading to his nomination. Even though he was confident of his securing his election, he worked hard through out his exhausting campaign which took heavy toll on his health. He says “I will leave city government at 31 years old and this will be my calling card–being such a young mayor of a city so important to our country,”
The new mayor is now focused on building a government that is responsive, accessible, practical and close to the people. He will also become a staunch promoter of Puerto Vallarta as tourist destination and address issues like cleanliness, security and safety. According to the new mayor “Tourists and locals should be reassured–they have an elected mayor who understands the challenges faced. We will be a good administration because we have the desire to serve.”
